• Multimedia Applications: Design and analysis of mechanisms to produce time-reduced videos (audio/video summarization); Design and analysis of mechanism to enrich e-music with additional multimedia contents; Design and analysis to manage video streams in P2P Media Streaming systems.
• Multimedia Content distribution: Design, analysis and implementation of mechanisms and architectures to distribute multimedia contents over the Internet; Design, analysis and implementation of protocols for supporting (interactive) video streaming applications; Design and analysis of mechanism for bandwidth allocation in diff-serv architectures, Web Indexing.
• QoS Networking: Design and analysis of real-time MAC protocols for supporting real-time applications in LAN-MAN scenarios and in ad-hoc networks, and ad-hoc sensor networks.
